Don’t run to success as if it’s only fleeting moments.
Take your time and WALK – with every step forward – you’ll get there.
For success isn’t the purpose of your destination.
It’s each skill you’re developing on your way to the goal post. ~ Changeversations
#1 skill – Self-Discipline
I’m losing weight and I’m so happy about it. For months, the numbers were continually going up but now they have made a downward turn. Ever since the first of the year I’ve eaten healthier meals. And for a couple of years now I’ve baked my own breads but recently started making my own soups, dips, and sauces. I’ve cut down on the diet sodas so much that I really don’t have a desire for them any more.

Another difference is that I’m walking again. Not so much of the physical kind, but mentally and spiritually. My mind isn’t set on meeting another person’s goals as to how much to lose, or how many times and miles to walk a week. I have to do what feels right for my body.
It’s going to take every ounce of self-discipline I have, and then some, to reach my goal.
Insight for change:
God knows what I need before I ask Him. He’s already at the goal post bidding me nearer.
What about you? Is self-discipline hard for you? What skills are you developing to improve your life?
