Weekly Photo Challenge: Journey
” To find the point where hypothesis and fact meet; the delicate equilibrium between dream and reality; the place where fantasy and earthly things are metamorphosed into a work of art; the hour when faith in the future becomes knowledge of the past; to lay down one’s power for others in need; to shake off the old ordeal and get ready for the new; to question, knowing that never can the full answer be found; to accept uncertainties quietly, even our incomplete knowledge of God; this is what man’s journey is about, I think.” ~ Lillian Smith

I love planes and I love flying in them. My happiest journeys have been in planes. Sometimes I am amazed at how small the world is when flying. Its even faster in the world of the internet etc.
Many people will be looking to the skys again for their summer of “shaking off” and being refreshed “ready for the new”.
Great interpretation.

Thanks, Kate. Glad you stopped by. I appreciate you sharing your kind thoughts. Many people will be getting away soon in hopes of feeling renewed and refreshed by the time they get back. I say, ‘more power to them’. Thanks for leaving your link, I visited your blog. You do great work. Keep it up!

To me, planes (especially Southwest Airlines – is that what this one is?) mean a journey home to see family! Thanks for a great thought!
You’re welcome, Stephen. I’m glad the photo brought you warm thoughts. The plane, indeed, belongs to Southwest Airlines. My grandson was visiting me one weekend and while we were out walking planes flew over us, heading towards the airport. I took shots of several of them and plan to put one on canvas for his bedroom. Thanks for stopping in. It’s always good to see you.

Awesome shot! 😉
Thank You Very Much!!!
What a quote! If I can manage to memorize it I will. You paired it with the perfect photo… ” to question, knowing that never can the full answer be found…” Really great! Debra
It’s always good to see you, Debra. Thanks so much for visiting. You picked the part of the quote I favor a lot. 🙂 Be blessed!

Do you ever look at a plane and just wonder where the people are coming from and where they are going and why?
Yeah, NeeNee, I do. All the time. I wonder a lot about their circumstances. Whenever I see one I’m like – wishing them well – and that their flight stays in the air until they’ve reached their destination. Thanks for visiting. I’m always glad to see you. 🙂
Great shot. Nice interpretation of this week’s theme.
nice one 🙂

Man’s journey is full of excitement , surprises, and adventures. But what ever those journey are, it will be more meaningful if we share them with people we love and to our God who always watch over us. Beautiful photo of the plane with words that bring about inspiration. Thanks…
