Jars of Clay, a Grammy award-winning band, founded Blood:Water Mission, ten years ago. It’s an organization started for the purpose of bringing clean drinkable water and clean blood to the people in sub-Saharan Africa. According to Dan Haseltine, the lead singer of the band,
“Since then we’ve been able to help give access to clean water to over a thousand communities, just giving water to people who didn’t have it, a little over 600,000 people,” said lead singer Dan Haseltine. They were in Nashville yesterday to raise awareness of the fact that there are still millions without clean safe water by sponsoring ‘Nashville Water Walk’.
The purpose of the walk is to give communities a sense of what Africans go through on a daily basis walking each day for miles just to have water. This is a worthy cause and if you hear about it in your area please try to attend.
