Years have come and gone. Kathy has made a lot of mistakes along the way. She’s also done a lot of good for herself, and for others.
But today the winds of life are shifting and carrying her to places she isn’t ready to go. Places she had dreamed about could physically be a few miles away, yet in Kathy’s mind are still unreachable. Will she dare herself to reach out and grab the reins and go the way she wants, or will she allow the winds to just carry her along?
One thing for sure, it’s time for Kathy to finally be honest with herself and about the choices she’s making. Little does she know but this thing called honesty won’t be leaving her alone soon and she’ll have to be ready – either way.

My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of yesterday’s tornadoes across several Southeast states. My home State of TN was mercifully spared any loss of lives. However, at least 20 homes were badly damaged or destroyed.
To the victims of March 2nd Tornadoes:
We Stand By You – with our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

Now that I’m older the only time I can’t tolerate getting up in the morning is when the room is too cold and my bed is too warm and comfortable. For a long time I didn’t like getting up early but I had to wake the kids up for school and get myself out the door for work. Years later I worked the night shift and my body had to do some adjusting. Now I’ve come full circle. I get up early and I go to bed late. I’m hardly ever sleepy during the day, I guess because I indulge myself with a tall cup of coffee. I do get in an extra ounce of zzz’s on the weekends, because I want to…
Am I an early bird or a night owl – they both have their advantages and disadvantages. One advantage of being an early bird is when your daughter calls you on the phone to look out the window because the morning sky is putting on a display of colors and shapes, you’re ready to roll…

U.S. Teenage Pregnancy Rate Raises Concerns
by Elysia Cook, read more HERE
Indeed, from the CDC’s research it appears that misperception, not simply a lack of resources, is one of the key components in this increasing rate of U.S. teenage pregnancies. The study appears to claim that, ultimately, more adequate education and prevention is imperative to stagnating and reversing this trend.
“More adequate education and prevention is imperative.” What????
Politics took away funding for abstinence-only education because it claimed it didn’t stop teens from having unprotected sex. Now they say “more adequate education and prevention”? I thought the comprehensive safe sex education they were presenting in schools and claim students need most were going to lower teen pregnancy rate.
Did I think wrong? What do you think is happening with the narrative on sexual education for our children and teens?
